Sub Contract Manager

You will possess strong communicative skills, as you will be bridging the gap between both the customer and internal stakeholders, ensuring that no one day is exactly the same. Due to the technical nature of the Sub Contract Manager, you will need to be skilled at drafting and preparing complex contract documentation using both standardised and non-standardised formats. It is fundamental, therefore, that you are confident with the many stages of the contracts and supply chain management life cycle, so that you can lead each project to commercial success.

Other responsibilities of the Sub Contract Manager:

- Figurehead for project and suppliers regarding contract and supply matters.
- Lead and manage plans to influence business decisions during the project life cycle.
- Investigate solutions for complex areas of potential risk and development.
- Strive for best practice and knowledge dissemination across the wider business.
- Understand Internal Customer requirements through internal and external communication.
- Manage Export Compliance, restrictions and third party rights for all procured items.
- Prior experience of the Commercial and Legal Aspects of contracting within the Defence industry.
- Experience of Compliance associated with contracting within the Defence industry.
- Knowledge of SAP, or equivalent integrated business systems.

Qualifications of the Sub Contract Manager:

- Trained to Degree level, or with considerable relevant work experience.
- Practical knowledge of Procurement within the Defence industry.
- Relationship building skills.

Any candidates being considered for the position of a Sub Contract Manager must be capable of achieving full SC security clearance!!!
