SQL Database Administrator

Are you proficient in managing, maintaining and enhancing SQL servers? If so we have a fixed term position until September 2019 waiting for you!

As a SQL Database Administrator you will have to ensure the SQL databases maintain their health, security, availability while safeguarding their performances; ensuring data integrity is preserved across all relevant platforms.

You will produce documentation, making sure existing documentation is up-to-date. Assist Report writers/ Application support with querying DB’s such as T-SQL. As the DBA you will have to investigate and trouble shoot all DB related issues while continuously checking for backups/ restores for developers within the Test environment.

SQL Database Administrator Required Experience:
•Production DBA while providing DBA support and guidance to Development Teams.
•ALL editions of MS SQL Server (2008 – current)
•Configuration of SQL Server in a HA environment including DB Mirroring, Log shipping and Always On High Availability (Availability Groups).
•Disaster Recovery - MS Clustering, Backup & Restore methodologies.
•Redgate SQL toolsets (Redgate SQL Backup, Redgate SQL Monitor, SQL Compare).
•Strong ETL skills, utilising SSIS (Integration Services) and custom Transact SQL scripts\SQL Server Agent.
•Data Warehouse\Data Mart exposure (Creating aggregated views and data sources).
•Performance Tuning and Optimization using native and bespoke tools.
•Microsoft Server technologies, including Windows Server 2016, Active Directory and VMware\ESXi.
•Technical documentation.
•Working to tight SLA and OLA targets.
