IT Service Desk Analyst

IT Service Desk Analyst: A fantastic opportunity for an established Service Desk Analyst interested in joining a well-established Global Company who are a leader in the UK’s security and resilience requirements.

This role will be based in their office near Coventry and involve you in the support of all aspects of Computer Networking and IT Security. You will work in a team of friendly and helpful Service Desk Analysts providing efficient responses, continuous updates to internal customers , handling incidents satisfactorily through to close.

System administration tasks will be required for a specific nationwide biometric database and requires:
• Monitoring the systems using relevant software and hardware tools
• Adequate response to errors and faults
• Maintaining information in relation to the custom-made system is essential in order to efficiently respond to enquiries

Calls must be resourcefully and helpfully resolved through:
• Providing as much assistance and initial information to callers as possible
• Identify common problems swiftly and resolve them
• Document solutions
• Adhere to the escalation and elevation processes as required
• Input all data into call log systems
• Consistent adherence to handbook rules
• Abiding by the customer care policies

To be considered for the role you must have a proven track record of:
• Providing system administration to company IT systems
• Commit to an ethos of superior service – capable of working effectively under pressure
• Developing excellent working relationships
• IT troubleshooting skills enabling you to deal with an array of processes and systems
• A good team player – interested in developing the Service Desk function

• Netbackup
• LANDesk call logging & Service Management tools

SECURITY CLEARABLE: The successful Service Desk Analyst will need to undergo SC security vetting.
