HPC Linux Engineer

Our client is at the forefront of High Performance Computing (HPC) and have been for more than a decade. This is the perfect opportunity for a talented HPC Linux Engineer with experience supporting Linux clusters and computer nodes in a high availability setting and who wants to build on those skills in the delivery of HPC cloud solutions.

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in Linux cluster implementation and management, with a particular focus on cloud implementations.

Skills to be utilised by the HPC Linux Engineer:

HPC cluster build and advising on HPC solutions
Implementation, administration, maintenance of enterprise Linux and open source Cluster platforms as a Linux Engineer,
HPC deployment of High Performance Clusters (Rocks, GPU cluster, open source cluster/ BMC cluster).
Cloud solution builds – VMWare VSAN, Openstack
Install open source software on clusters.
Shell scripting - bash, perl or python or any combination
Exposure to MPI (message passing interface) codes and libraries
Experience in managing servers remotely
Experience of managing high volumes of servers
