Lead Software Engineer .Net C#, FDLC

Are you a Lead Software Engineer with a background in Windows application development including experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery techniques? This is an opportunity to join a large company working on advanced technologies for the defence sector using modern software engineering techniques.

** Due to the industry sector, this role will require you to obtain high level government clearance, so we can only accept applications from British national of single nationality – if you have any questions about SC please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

As Lead Software Engineer you’ll be responsible for taking the technical ownership of products and managing and mentoring team members.

Key areas of responsibility

* Become a subject matter expert on software applications for military use – such as advanced technology used within military vehicles

* Lead on software builds and implementation

* Ensure that best practices in software engineering are maintained and followd

Skills, technical background required

* C# and the .Net framework
* Microsoft development toolchain
* Gathering software requirements, estimating duration of project work and project planning and user story creation
* Experience in Agile software development and modern software engineering practices
* Keeping up to date with new technology and industry best practices
